Arizona baseball coach Drew Breivogel went viral after encouraging his pitcher with a faith-filled message during a Little League World Series regional game.

According to Fox News, Breivogel was caught on an ESPN mic while speaking with his pitcher during a fourth-inning mound visit to calm the the young man's nerves.

"I'm so proud of you," Drew Breivogel can be overheard saying.

“I've known you since you were eight. Remember Zacchaeus in the Bible? Someone planted that tree, 30, 40 years prior, so he could climb up into it. Salvation. We're talking salvation. It's a baseball game, right?

"If you walk the next five guys Jesus is still Lord. If you strike out the next five guys, guess what? Jesus is still Lord. I love you. Have some fun."

The coach's comments went viral on social media, getting a very polarized response, with many users chiming in and offering the opinion's on the coach's message to the player.

“THE GREATEST LL MOUND VISIT OF ALL TIME!! “ wrote Ryan on X, in which the clip has been viewed 11 million times.

"How about a scouting report?" one fan commented on the now-viral video. "Some advice about mechanics? Something that may actually help the kid learn baseball? If I was the pitcher I would have pushed my coach away," one user responded to the video.

“All the simpletons saying “why not coach tell the boy how to throw” yeah you weren’t an athlete ever in your life. All that comes in the practice months and years before the game. When the lights are on, reminding someone of who they are, grounding them. That’s real coaching,” someone else posted.

"Then the next 3 hitters reached base safely because there was no gameplan instilled during the mound visit. This was a coach using TV to make himself look good he knew he was Mic’d up, that was his BIG moment” another person wrote.

"Love this. Just let the kids have fun. It's not that serious and Jesus is still Lord," someone else responded.

Despite having a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning, Arizona was ultimately eliminated by Hawaii 5-2, The Blaze reported.

During last night’s West Region championship game, Southern California defeated Hawaii 11-3, and the team now advances to the 2026 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
