John Anderson
Rev. John Anderson served for over two decades as CEO of the Bay Area Rescue Mission, succeeding his roles as Chief Financial Officer, Director of Programs, and Business Manager. Under his leadership, the Rescue Mission expanded its services dramatically—from offering emergency shelter and meals, to launching programs like the Culinary Arts Training Center, safe housing for women and children, and job skill training. Rev. Anderson’s tenure is marked by compassion, strategic growth, and a deep commitment to restoring dignity and hope to people facing homelessness, addiction, and poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area.
